Background
Government is supposed to use our taxes to make our lives better and keep us safe. Mitch McConnell and his GOP are holding our lives and tax dollars hostage, denying us meaningful COVID relief, so their donors can be shielded from legal liability for pushing us to work until we get sick and putting our lives at risk.
Democrats in Congress understand how McConnell is gambling with our lives. Once McConnell gets his liability shield, he will move on and sabotage all of President-Elect Biden’s plans for COVID recovery.
Senator Wyden astutely noted “He’d [McConnell] like to get liability protection for his political supporters. Then after Jan 5th . . . he’ll have no incentive to provide any more economic relief for the American people”
