TRUMP’S DEPORTATION RAMPAGE MUST BE STOPPED
QUICK READ: Trump and his ICE gestapo, lying to the American people about the illegality of their mass deportation activities, continue to run roughshod over the Constitution, the rule of law, and the right to due process the courts insist they obey—sending noncitizens and citizens to El Salvador gulogs to be tortured and even killed, improperly detaining and deporting families seeking asylum, plucking foreign students and faculty off the streets and trying to deport them because Trump dislikes their opinions, and using underhanded, illegal methods to convince noncitizens to self-deport.
CONTENTS:
BACKGROUND
On taking office, Trump declared a national emergency at the southern border, illegally suspended the right of those crossing to seek asylum, and began due-process-less mass deportations. Weeks later, he quietly renditioned 299 newly-arrived third-party nationals from all over the world to Panama and another 200, including 80 children, to Costa Rica—although courts now require a meaningful opportunity to oppose such renditions beforehand.
In March, masked ICE agents began abducting, secretly detaining, and trying to deport students and activists because Trump dislikes their opinions. Some, like Mahmoud Khalil, Badar Khan Suri, and Mohsen Mahdawi, were permanent residents, while others, like Rumeysa Ozturk and Kseniia Petrova, had valid visas. All told, 1800+ students at 280+ colleges had their visas illegally revoked. While the government temporarily restored some after being inundated with lawsuits, many others simply self-deported.
In March Trump, violating court orders, began illegally renditioning to El Salvador individuals with no criminal records alleged, without proof, to be Venezuelan gang members—even ignoring SCOTUS’ demand to immediately facilitate Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s return. Trump’s already paid $4 million of the $15 million in taxpayers’ money promised to allow those renditioned to be tortured and even killed in its CECOT gulog, whose conditions violate the 8th Amendment’ s prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment.
American citizens have also been caught up in ICE’s dragnet, including 3 children summarily deported with their mothers after a regular ICE check-in, and 5 siblings on their way to a medical appointment when their parents were stopped.
Congress cannot allow these atrocities to continue. It must rein in Trump’s powers, remove ICE funding, and demand immediate return of all renditioned.

By large margins Americans disapprove of Trump’s and his ICE gestapo’s illegal mass deportation activities that run roughshod over the Constitution, the rule of law, and their victims’ due process rights. I expect you to demonstrate daily your solidarity with those being terrorized, demand their immediate release or return, and challenge the legal basis of the border Executive Order. You must also (1) move to censor Trump and his Cabinet for ignoring their oaths of office, (2) organize investigations of all aspects of Trump’s mass deportation program, including the abuses in El Salvador’s CECOT and other prisons, and regularly publicize the findings, and (3) cut off all funding for the ICE gestapo, the deportation flights, and Trump’s illegal payments to foreign governments to put the renditioned in concentration camps whose conditions violate the 8th Amendment’s prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment.
