Resistance 101: The Frogs, Cows, and Lobsters of Operation Inflation Are Working
QUICK READ: We must not be cowed by the threats of an increasingly authoritarian administration. Engage in economic boycotts. Recognize that protest matters. Hound ICE. Record their actions. Push your representatives to inform their constituencies. And remember that no fascist regime can succeed without the compliance of its own citizens.

BACKGROUND
Shortly before the enormously successful mass protests this month, MAGA warned that protesters would be unhinged, sinister, fierce anti-Americans.
Instead, there were frogs. And unicorns. And an occasional axolotl.
In a brilliant move exposing Trump’s invented American war zone cities, “Operation Inflation” provides an absurd counter to fear and troop deployments.
"One of the things fascists can't handle is humor," said Scott Rohrbach, a NASA engineer who attended the recent “No Kings” protest as a unicorn. Can you really expect the public to believe that blow-up lobsters, cows, and roller skating frogs are dangerous enemies of the state?
Behind the dangerous law violations and wasted tax dollars spent on deploying the National Guard to “fight crime,” are Trump’s attempts to normalize troops in American cities before the next election. Once we accept their regular presence, they can reliably be used to intimidate voters.
Fear tactics and constitutional violations are also at play everywhere whenever masked ICE agents kidnap and arrest our community members without warrants or due process of law.
To protect and resist, we must inform our neighbors, colleagues, and friends of their presence—usin Stopice.net to monitor and report ICE sightings in our communities. We can blow whistles. And where one avenue of resistance is blocked, we can immediately invent new ways to alert others of danger. We can engage in boycotts and mass protests and spend money only locally from November 25-December 2.
No fascist regime can succeed without the compliance of its own citizens.
