Postcards and Letter-Writing: Register New Voters & Get Out the Vote!

The 2026 United States midterm elections are scheduled to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

This November, all 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the U.S. Senate will be on the ballot. 39 state and territorial U.S. gubernatorial elections, attorney general elections, and numerous state and local elections, will also be contested.

The Mission

To write to non-registered, progressive-leaning people in swing states, and to influence them to register as Democrats and vote in the November 3rd Midterm Elections.

Our Goal

Write to 250,000 people in swing states before October 24, 2026.

Why?

This administration is not focused on helping the American people. They are solely focused on helping themselves, corporations and billionaires get more power and wealth. Their actions are hurting Americans, including previously Independent and Republican voters, who are now more receptive to voting for Democrats than they have been in the last 8 years! Our goal is to help this conversion process.

Get Postcards

Join an in-person event, or find a porch pickup location.

We provide you with a postcard writing packet, including:

  • 20 blank postcards

  • 20 names with addresses

  • A detailed instruction sheet on how to write the cards

  • A choice of 4-6 scripts you can choose from to write on the cards

The packets are FREE! Writers are welcome to take and write as many packets as they wish.

If you have the budget, please purchase stamps to mail the cards you write. However, we know that many people do not have the budget for the stamps, or may have a budget to pay for some cards, but not as many as they wish to write. Click here for the details of our Postage Stamp Policy.

Simply write a script on the back of the postcard, write a voter’s name address on the front of the card, stamp the card, and mail it!

Find an Event

Stay and Write, or Pick up and Take Home!

We have four locations that you can come and write cards. Come with your friends, or alone and meet some new friends! Enjoy some great local Brew Pub food and beverage if you wish, and write postcards in a fun and friendly atmosphere. You can also just pick up packets to take home and write.

Our events are scheduled on specific Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays each and every month through the end of October.

FAQs

    1. If the cost of stamps is within your budget, and you have brought stamps with you, write your cards today and stamp and mail them.

    2. If you did not bring stamps, and the cost of stamps is within your budget, you can purchase stamps at the event for $12.00, or contribute a donation that you can afford, stamp and mail your cards, or leave for us to stamp and mail.

    3. If the cost of stamps is not within your budget, write your cards today and leave them with us. As donation amounts allow, we will stamp and mail them.

    1. If the cost of stamps is within your budget, please purchase stamps and mail the cards as soon as you have written them.

    2. If the cost of stamps is not within your budget, please write the cards, then bring them back written and unstamped to an upcoming Indivisible Oregon Postcard event. We will stamp and mail them as donation money allows.

    Writers can write postcards at events and leave them with us to stamp and and mail, or, if writing at home, bring them back to us at a future event unstamped and we will stamp and mail them.

    Postcard stamps are currently $0.61 each, or $12.20 to mail a packet of 20 postcards.
