Defund and Disband Trump’s Masked Army
QUICK READ: Under Trump, ICE has become a tyrannical white supremacist agency of extremists who operate with impunity, violate human rights, target immigrants, and tear families apart. Their depravities are unconstitutional and extreme. Abolishing ICE is no radical proposition; it is imperative.

BACKGROUND
Defunding and disbanding ICE must top any pre-midterm agenda. This rogue agency exuberantly extends Trump’s authoritarian agenda creating fear through systemic state violence. As such, it is thoroughly illegitimate.
Congress must also begin discussing where to reallocate ICE’s multi-billion dollar anti-immigrant slush fund so it can act quickly and decisively the moment the tides turn on MAGA.
Under Trump, ICE has become a tyrannical white supremacist agency of extremists characterized by “sadism, secrecy, deception, and racial profiling,” who operate with impunity, violate human rights, target immigrants, and tear families apart.
This executive branch auxiliary force has been given the green light to engage in surveillance and fear tactics that criminalize and terrorize entire communities. “Mass raids, indefinite detentions, secretive deportations, and collaboration with local police all feed into a system designed to intimidate, control, and erase.”
Some of the worst offenses include:
· Violently attacking peaceful protesters with rubber bullets, flash-bang grenades, tear gas, and pepper balls frequently and unlawfully aimed at heads, spines, and groins ;
· Flagrantly violating human rights and due process through lengthy detentions, secret deportations, and child separation and state and local sanctuary protections;
· Physically abusing and killing detainees in for-profit prisons;
· Nearly 200 US citizens illegally arrested and imprisoned;
· Dehumanizing immigrant families through mass raids and surveillance rooted in xenophobia and white nationalism.
The depravities regularly committed by Trump’s private masked army are unconstitutional and extreme. Abolishing ICE is no radical proposition; it is imperative.
