QUICK READ: Trump's MAGA Murder Budget Bill is as much an expression of his fascist agenda as his ICE raids, tariff threats, military parade, and disinformation campaign.  It will kill thousands of Americans who will lose health care and food assistance, while funding the biggest military budget in decades and exponentially more ICE raids and exploding the debt. MAGA Senate proposals are even worse. Only killing the bill will save Americans from these travesties.

BACKGROUND

Weeks ago, the MAGA House passed a cruel, immoral budget slashing Medicaid, SNAP, and clean energy investments that keep our families safe, healthy, and moving forward, all to pay for mass deportations, private prisons, weapons contractors, and massive tax breaks for the ultra-rich. 

MAGA Senators have made the House’s cruelest provisions even worse: 

  • Mandating sale of 2-3 million acres of public land to fund Trump’s agenda;

  • Making it harder for states to expand Medicaid and SNAP’s work requirement worse;

  • Abandoning America’s farmers.

Only 27% of registered voters want this bill to pass once learning of its cruel provisions, but half the country ‘s completely unaware.

To defeat the version being developed in the Senate, Americans must be educated on the cruel, outrageous contrasts this bill creates:

  • Babies going hungry so Mark Zuckerberg can buy another Hawaiian island?

  • People with disabilities who need wheelchairs or home health aides to live independently losing them so Jeff Bezos can buy a third yacht?

  • Grandmas being pushed out of their nursing homes so some billionaire hedge fund manager can throw another $3 million wedding?

  • Americans going without healthcare so Elon musk can ride a rocket ship to Mars?

  • Over 51,000 Americans unnecessarily dying yearly so the ultra-rich can pay fewer taxes , causing our national debt to rise by trillions? 

For the next several weeks our MoCs must daily work to slow down or halt Senate action on this bill, graphically demonstrate the many ways it threatens our economic security and assaults our democracy, and fight, instead, for policies that support families, strengthen local economies, and ensure everyone has the resources to thrive.
