BACKGROUND
On Jan. 29, 2026—after the statute of limitations’ expiration—Trump sued the government he runs, claiming an IRS contractor’s illegal disclosure of tax return information during his first administration caused $10 billion in harm, a claim similar to ones the IRS had previously rejected.
Days before its likely dismissal for lack of a genuine dispute between the parties, Trump, the Trumpified DOC, and the Trumpified Treasury privately agreed to settle this lawsuit by both granting him and his hoodlum family immunity from potential tax fraud investigations and creating a $1.776 slush fund he controlled to be disbursed to J6 insurrectionists and others claiming victimization by Biden’s DOJ. This agreement. allowing Trump to reward his private army of insurrectionists with taxpayer funds for trying to illegally keep him in power in 2020 and promising them similar rewards for future violence benefiting him, likely violates the 14th Amendment.
The next day, Blanche admitted he’d also granted his boss perpetual immunity from claims involving “lawfare and/or weaponization” or tax returns—a “Super Pardon” saving the Trumps from possible tax penalties estimated at $100+ million. Because such protection from tax liability would be a substantial gift beyond his salary, it likely violates Article 2’s domestic emoluments clause.
This secret corrupt slush fund, shielded from accountability, that distributes public money to reward its political supporters violates the Constitution, exceeds executive authority, and unlawfully bypasses Congress’ exclusive authority over spending and appropriations.
Congress must immediately stop this corrupt assault on our Constitution, our Treasury, and the rule of law.
