Pete Hegseth Believes In Gender Affirming Care!!
QUICK READ: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s new policy, entitled “High-T Department of War,” mandates annual testosterone screening for military personnel over the age of 30 to evaluate deficiencies and offer testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) to those with low counts. There is no evidence that utilizing our tax dollars for testing and treatment benefits either the military as a whole or individuals for whom TRT itself poses serious side effects. Thanks, Pete!

BACKGROUND
For years, Pete Hegseth’s grumbled about our “effeminate and apologetic” US military, asserting that liberals want “soft men and a weak military,” and “Pentagon pussies” fail battlefield men.
His “High-T Department of War” policy requiring annual testosterone screening for military personnel over the age of 30 and offering manly military-affirming testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) to those whose counts are deemed too low is his latest solution—even though medical experts say only 2% of the male population suffers from low testosterone and this policy, while not scientifically supported, may cause heart and kidney problems, infertility, fractures, and shrinking testicles, alongside general over-diagnosis.
As Rep. Becca Balint (D-Vt.) stresses, his testosterone obsession and the Defense Department social media’s constant stream of homoerotic tough guy videos represent this administration’s simultaneous homoerotic and homophobic feelings towards men.
Hegseth’s virile manhood fantasy about the “existential” threat of global testosterone level decline also wastes our tax dollars while ignoring the primary drivers of poor health outcomes, like heart disease, cancer, hypertension, diabetes, depression and alcohol abuse.
Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Il.) asked if the Defense Department would offer estrogen-based therapy to service members with documented and treatable medical issues going through perimenopause. No response from Hegseth whatsoever.
And what about his contradictory position disallowing gender affirming care for transgender troops? Hegseth claims this new policy is not about “artificial enhancement" and supports movements to ban transgender troops entirely.
Hegseth is also using this same virile manhood fantasy to deny women any role in the military. In fact, his church’s pastor openly supports women being denied the vote.
