Knock on doors with Ground Truth in Oak Grove neighborhood
Join Swing Left and Indivisible Oregon for a Ground Truth canvass—designed to help Democrats rebuild trust, win tough races, and flip the House. We’re launching an innovative new program that will revolutionize how we connect with voters and potential voters at their doors.
At this canvass, we’ll:
Knock on every door in the neighborhood, not just the same voters campaigns usually talk to.
Have real conversations that listen deeply to voters’ concerns.
Gather insights to share with campaigns, so they can be responsive to voters’ needs and smarter with their messaging, targeting, and outreach.
Don’t worry if it’s your first time—training, materials, and support are all provided. Just bring comfortable shoes, a charged phone, and your passion for making a difference.
About the program
This isn’t traditional canvassing—it’s a whole new way of talking to voters. Together, we’ll gather authentic insights from communities, use cutting-edge tools to capture what we hear, and share it back with campaigns to strengthen their efforts.
Why we’re starting early: We launched a year ahead of the midterms to build power before campaigns got off the ground.
How we’ll go big: knocking every door, not just the ones the voter database tells us to, so every conversation builds a more complete picture of the electorate.
How we’ll go deep: practicing empathetic listening and real conversations that uncover voters’ “ground truth,” not just checking boxes on a script.
Paid for by Swing Left, Swingleft.org, not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.

Sen. Ron Wyden’s Washington County Town Hall
Wyden has held 1,138 open-to-all town halls in keeping his promise to hold at least one town hall each year in each of Oregon’s 36 counties.
“A new year means new opportunities for all Oregonians to share opinions, ask questions and discuss ideas in open-to-all town halls in community gatherings with their neighbors,” Wyden said. “These face-to-face meetings are always important, and I look forward to these town halls at the start of 2026 to hear Oregonians’ thoughts on priorities for the year ahead in rural, suburban and urban parts of our state.”
For everyone’s security, backpacks and large bags will not be allowed in the town halls. Similar to major sporting events, there is a clear bag policy for town halls, allowing only clear bags (max 12″x6″x12″), one-gallon clear plastic bags, or small clutches (max 4.5″x 6.5″), plus essential items like medical bags or infant necessities, with no storage for disallowed bags. Backpacks and non-clear bags are prohibited, though medical/infant needs have exceptions. Guests will not be allowed inside if they are not complying with these safety regulations. Doors will open one hour before the town hall start time for attendees.
Rep. Suzanne Bonamici Tillamook Town Hall
Bonamici will answer questions from attendees and provide an update about her work in Congress. The town hall meetings will be in Hillsboro, Scappoose, Tillamook, and Portland.
“These are very challenging times for many, and it’s important for me to hear from the people I represent,” said Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici. “Town hall meetings give Oregonians an opportunity to tell me what is on their mind and to hear from me about the work I’m doing. I look forward to meeting with people from across the district and answering their questions.”
Members of Bonamici’s staff will be at the town hall meetings to assist anyone who is experiencing problems with federal agencies, including the VA, Social Security Administration, immigration, and IRS.
Knock on doors in Oregon City with Indivisible Oregon and Ground Truth
Rep. Suzanne Bonamici Scappoose Town Hall

Volunteer Orientation + Food Drive - Let's Get Ready for the Midterms!
Come Show Your Democracy on Valentine's Day. 💘
We all know this election year is not going to be normal.
At Indivisible Oregon, we are gearing up. This moment calls for new, creative and effective ways to reach voters. And to do this, it will take volunteers to help organize and run events. If you have ever wanted to volunteer but didn’t know where to start, this is the event for you.
We are creating a meeting specifically for anyone interested in working on a canvas, a phone call, a letter writing or a protest event, or social media content creation.
YOU are the volunteers we need now. Whether you want to dip your toe in or want to help lead an event, this Volunteer Orientation is for you.
Our volunteer orientation will give you the opportunity to meet and collaborate with other Indivisible Oregon volunteers like yourself. We will have break-out groups focusing on: deep canvassing, deep phone calls, letter writing, visible protesting, administration, and social media content creation.
Join us to build grassroots power for all the fights to come. Together, we can defeat the anti-democratic MAGA movement, dismantle the GOP's advantage in key swing races, and maintain and expand Democratic power at the federal level.
We're gathering in SE Portland to collaborate with other Indivisible Oregon volunteers in break-out groups on deep canvassing, deep listening phone banking, letter writing, protesting, administration, and social media content creation.
We are also collecting non-perishable food and toiletries for Project 48 to support young people transitioning out of foster care.
