AG Dan Rayfield's "Oregon Priorities Tour" Town Hall
SW Portland Town Hall with Senate President Rob Wagner.
The Oregon Priorities town halls will feature Attorney General Rayfield alongside key state and national leaders at each location, creating opportunities for direct engagement with communities across Oregon.
Community members will be invited to share the priorities that matter most – keeping communities safe, protecting working families, consumers, and seniors, defending Oregon’s values, and more – so Oregon DOJ can shape legal strategies that best protect the state’s interests.
“Keeping Oregon safe, fair, and forward-looking means listening to Oregonians in every corner of the state,” said Attorney General Rayfield. “That’s our goal with the Oregon Priorities Tour – especially as the federal government steps back or tries to dismantle the very agencies meant to protect people. States like ours have to pick up the slack. We are hearing from people who know our communities best and turning those conversations into action.”
ASL and Spanish interpretation will be provided.
Protest at the Apple Store - Bring Back ICEBlock!
PROTEST APPLE’S CENSORSHIP
DEFEND COMMUNITY SAFETY & DEMAND THE RETURN OF THE ICEBlock APP with a holiday themed, musical protest
When Trump’s cruel mass deportations ramped up, communities created tools to protect themselves — apps that shared real-time alerts of ICE operations. ICEBlock is an app that warns neighbors of ICE sightings in real-time. Apps like ICEBlock save lives and help keep families safe.
But Trump's personal Attorney General, Pam Bondi, demanded Apple remove ICEBlock, claiming it “put ICE agents at risk,” which is a lie.
Instead of defending community safety and free speech, Apple immediately complied — and took down other similar apps
This is corporate censorship in service of authoritarian power.
CEO Tim Cook has cozied up to Trump for years
donating $1 million to his inauguration
helping fund his White House ballroom and destroy the East Wing
turning his back on the communities Apple claims to support
✊ JOIN US PROTEST APPLE’S COMPLICITY — PROTECT OUR COMMUNITIES — DEMAND APPLE RESTORE ICEBlock with Santa costumes, reworked xmas songs, and candy canes.
Demonstrate that holidays are about keeping each other safe, not bowing to a wannabe-king. We are demanding that Apple reinstate the ICEBlock app — and we’re doing it with a joyful holiday twist!
Imagine: singing re-worked Christmas carols, handing out candy canes, and holding protest signs like “Tim Cook is on Santa’s Naughty List” and “This holiday, give oranges — not Apples.”
Bring your signs, friends, your holiday spirit and your voice. Let's show everyone that Santa and his friends fight fascism and don't support corporation who bow down to authoritarian regimes!
Printed lyrics will be sent to registrants and available at the event.
See videos of songs being rehearsed here.
Practical Information
The protest will be held on a wide sidewalk in front the store where we can stand and show our signs, sing our songs, show our holiday spirit while telling passersby to NOT support Apple and their corrupt agenda and collaboration with a fascist regime this holiday season.
Recommend coming by public transit, the protest is along the MAX lines
If driving, there is a paid parking lot across the street
Come in your holiday costumes, hats and ugly sweaters!
Santa costumes will be available
Dress warm and for the weather. It is December. It is Portland.
Reminder that this is a peaceful protest intending to point of the corruption and bootlicking at Apple while embracing the Portland energy we are known and loved for.
Indivisible Oregon is deeply committed to nonviolence as both a principle and a strategy. We strongly believe that peaceful, nonviolent activism offers social movements the most power to effect change. We will only protest on public property and will not enter any private property space

Deep Canvassing in District 5
Join other Indivisible Oregon volunteers to knock doors in Congressional District 5 -- a swing district -- to restore our democracy.
We will use a "deep canvassing" approach where we will listen for concerns and aim to understand experiences rather than persuade. We will knock on every door so that we connect with all potential allies.
The goals are to gather good information about the issues concerning people in District 5 to share with campaigns committed to defeating authoritarianism, to connect people wanting to get involved with advocacy opportunities, and to connect people experiencing material needs with resources.
We will not use a phone app! Instead, we will record information on paper and will carry clipboards. (A suitable app from Swing Left isn't available at this time).
For people new to this type of canvassing, we'll provide a brief training. For people with experience, you can head out to the doors with your turf map. We encourage people to canvass in pairs.
If you’ve not done this before, don't worry. We’ll cover everything you need to know. Once you get going, you'll find that talking to voters is very rewarding.

Training for Strategic Defiance & Non-Cooperation
Strategic Non-Cooperation and Defiance are some of the most powerful sorts of nonviolent methods because they involve directly weakening and removing the regime’s sources of social, political, and economic power.
Portland Metro fellow compatriots: Plan to join us!
Train in Effective Strategic Defiance & Non-Cooperation
You'll come away with ideas, tools and resources to share with your own group, community, neighborhood.
Millions Rise - regular folks like you and me are building a powerful national opposition network as we connect with each other in local non-violent organizing and non-cooperation actions.
These trainings are hosted by a coalition of Indivisible groups in Portland. One Million Rising is a national coordinated non-cooperation movement to obstruct and disrupt the Trump regime.
This is empowering, uplifting information and we'll train you to share this information, host actions and gatherings with your own community. There is an essential role for each of us.
Several Dates Listed - Choose the time that works for you. Sessions are repeated trainings, not sequential. Locations - Still TBD. We'll update you as they're set.
Bring a friend or two - and you can start planning together right away.
Ps. For example, Disney may have been surprised at the immediate non-cooperation feedback they got when they caved to pressure to remove Jimmy Kimmel. We weren't though. Millions cancelled subscriptions, stock fell like a rock, employees threatened to withhold labor... They changed their mind, or at least their actions pretty fast.

HELP! WE HAVE 2000 PRINTED VOTE FORWARD LETTERS TO WRITE THIS WEEK!

With three seats up for grabs, this election will decide the future of key issues like abortion access, election disputes, voting laws and redistricting for Congress and state legislature.
You can stay and write your letters, or just pick up letters to take home and write. We provide the letters, envelopes, pens and markers.
Deep Canvassing Training - Canvassing with Empathy
INDIVISIBLE OREGON and INDIVISIBLE CEDAR MILL are partnering with SWING LEFT to conduct comprehensive and experiential trainings in “Deep Canvassing” or “Canvassing with Empathy”. The training will be followed by an actual canvass with voters in Oregon’s Congressional District 5. Our goal is to encourage voters to tell us what issues are most important to them. This information is critical in helping Members of Congress better understand their constituents’ most important concerns as they are making policy decisions in Washington D.C. Additionally, this data will help 2026 electoral candidates in swing districts shape campaign messages that address voters in more meaningful and effective ways.
Deep canvassing is a method of voter outreach that involves having authentic, empathic conversations with individuals about how they want government to serve them. Unlike traditional canvassing, which uses a script designed to persuade voters to support a candidate or cause, deep canvassing fosters a more in-depth and genuine way of connecting with voters. The ultimate goal is to build a sincere relationship with voters by nonjudgmentally understanding their values, beliefs, and experiences rather than just gathering data through short conversations.
Participants will also learn about new approaches to canvassing developed by Swing Left, called "Ground Truth".
This is a 2-hour training, followed by one hour of canvassing. An additional hour is allowed for downloading “turfs”, explaining the “MiniVAN” app, driving to the canvassing locations and then returning to debrief. Afterward, trainees will be able to canvass on their own, or with a buddy, as often as they choose. Canvassing events will be scheduled regularly throughout June – November, 2025.

Come together from every corner of the Metro as One Nation Indivisible at Waterfront Park. Add your voice to protect our Rights and our Freedoms

Grand March - 1pm
We proclaim No Kings! Shoulder to Shoulder, In Solidarity. Our One Nation Indivisible Grand March will step off onto the Downtown Portland route at 1pm.
All of us in 50501 and Indivisible are committed to non-violence as a guiding principle in everything we do. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
Non-violence doesn’t mean backing down. It means standing firm in our values, channeling our anger and our hope into action, and refusing to become what we’re fighting against. We are up against a movement that feeds on fear and chaos. Our answer is a movement grounded in courage, solidarity, and the unshakable belief that a better, more just democracy is worth fighting for—together.
No Troops in Portland
Good news - we won the fight to get Sinclair to reinstate its broadcast of Jimmy Kimmel Live, so our "Hello Sinclair" protests are canceled.
Bad news - Trump has ordered the deployment of troops to our city and we are determined to peacefully stand-up to this authoritarian tactic, so the protests are back on. Same place, same time, different violation of our freedoms.
This location is easily reached by Trimet buslines 12, 19, and 20. On-street parking in the neighborhood.
Every Tuesday 4-6pm. Hosted by Portland District 2 Neighbors Indivisible.
