***IMMEDIATE ACTION***WHAT CONGRESS MUST ACCOMPLISH BEFORE RECESSING FOR THE MIDTERMS [2026-09-13]

All Senators, who care about reining in Trump’s and his billionaire buddies’ corruption; ending Trump’s illegal wars and nonsensical tariffs making Americans’ lives unaffordable and redirecting Pentagon funding to programs Americans need to live and prosper; ensuring courts treat everyone equally; and protecting immigrants from Trump’s mass deportation, must show, in the 18 days the Senate’s in session, how they’ll govern upon winning in November by:

  1. Opposing cloture on exceedingly flawed Clarity Act (HR.3633), which doesn’t protect consumers, community banks, or states’ ability to fight crypto-fraud; doesn’t close money laundering loopholes; and, most importantly, doesn’t stop his crypto-fueled bribery machinery;

  2. Opposing House-passed $1.15 trillion NDAA, which gives the Pentagon its largest ever bloated budget to fund Trump’s illegal and immoral wars and included the election-suppression SAVE America Act the Senate’s refused even to consider, and pushing, instead, Slash the Pentagon Act, which caps Trump’s wasteful defense budget at $750 billion and uses the savings to fund healthcare, education, and other programs Americans need;

  3. Opposing Trump’s judicial nominees chosen for their loyalty to him and his authoritarian agenda, rather than to the US Constitution, and slowing down their confirmations;

  4. Passing HR, 1689, languishing in the Senate since April, whose extension of Haitian TPS status for 3 years would prevent Haitians from exposure to the extreme gang violence and severe starvation that are regularly killing those in Haiti.

Additionally, before the House recesses this Friday, members should push for a vote on the Epstein Files Transparency Act II discharge petition, allowing state A-Gs, victims, and congresspeople to sue the DOJ for failing to comply with the original Act’s disclosure requirements.
